KRAUSRIPPE (round trip):

1 garter st. = 2 rounds.
TIP TO RECORD:

BUTTONHOLES:
On the right front buttonholes are knitted.
1 buttonhole = knit the 2nd and 3rd sts and make an envelope.

KNIT VEST:

The work is knit back and forth on a round needle. Beat with ice on needle number 7, 131-139-147-163-179-195 sts.
4 sts garter st. - see above, * 1 st., 1 l. *, Repeat from * - * and finish with 1 st, 4 sts garter sts. Continue with the cuff.
After 5 cm the next row from the front as follows: All sts. knit and AT THE SAME TIME dec 17-17-17-21-21-21 sts evenly = 114-122-130-142-158-174 sts.
Mark the work before or after 30-32-34-37-41-45 sts (back = 54-58-62-68-76-84 sts).
Continue with the garter sts. Is the stitch sample correct?
When piece measures 13-13-13-13-11-11 cm dec 1 st at each side of marker. (= Knit 2 sts together). 4 sts are taken per row. All 8-8-8-8-6-6 cm total 3-3-3-3-4-4 x = 102-110-118-130-142-158 M.
After 30-31-32-33-34-35 cm on the right panel, start with the buttonholes - see above.
When piece measures 35-35-35-36-36-36 cm pick up 1 st on each side of the marker. 4 sts are taken per row. - see TIP TO RECORD.
Repeat after 44-44-45-46-47-47 cm = 110-118-126-138-150-166 sts.
Continue with garter sts and cast off at 53-54-55-56-57-58 cm for armhole: cast off 3 sts each side of marker. (= 6 sts on both sides). Now knit the pieces separately.

BACK PART :

= 46-50-54-60-66-74 sts. As follows at the beginning of each row for the armhole:
0-0-0-1-1-2 x 3 sts, 1-1-2-2-2-2 x 2 sts and 0-2-1-1-3-4 x 1 sts = 42- 42-44-44-46-46 sts. After 68-70-72-74-76-78 cm cast off middle 10-10-12-12-14-14 sts for neckline. On next row dec 1 st for neck area. = 15-15-15-15-15-15 sts. After 70-72-74-76-78-80 cm cast off.

LEFT FRONT PART:

Cast off 26-28-30-33-36-40 sts on the side as on the back for the armhole. = 24-24-25-25-26-26 sts. When piece measures 70-72-74-76-78-80 cm from the front, cast off the first 15-15-15-15-15-15 sts for the shoulder. = 9-9-10-10-11-11 sts for the collar. Knit short rows over the collar stitches (start at the back): * Knit back and forth over the outermost 5-5-5-6-6-6 sts, knit all sts back and forth *, from * - * Repeat until the collar measures 7-7-7-8-8-8 cm on the short side (measured from the shoulder). Cast off.

RIGHT FRONT PART:

As the left front only mirrored.

ASSEMBLY:

Close the shoulder seam. Sew the collar back together, then sew on the neckline. Sew on the buttons.
