Read more - we all really like that. But between work, meeting friends and domestic responsibilities, there are few who have time to open a book. The app spray could there now remedy.
The inventors promise great things: Less distraction, more concentration, faster reading . A whole novel should be durchackern in less than 90 minutes with the app for the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Gear 2.
How it works? Actually quite simple: At Spritz, only individual words are shown instead of entire pages, which provides less distraction. Since the human brain does not perceive every single letter but the word as a whole, the information can be processed in a fraction of a second. To further accelerate this process, each letter contains a letter in red that guides the eye.
The speed with which the words are presented can be determined by the user of the Spritz App . So 250 to 1000 words per minute can be read. For comparison: The typical adult reader only creates about 200 to 400 words.
For students, the app could be beneficial, although it is not clear how big the reading comprehension is when bombarded with new words every second. As a book replacement in the spare time, the speed reading seems a bit undecided. Then maybe you would rather reach for the audiobook ...
