House spiders are looking for shelter from the bad weather

With the beginning of the mating season, there are now more and more spiders in the houses. Find out what the reason for your relocation is here.

Currently, an unusually high number of spiders are sighted in British households. Above all, the size of the animals causes fear and terror in many people. Under the hashtag #giantspiders are some pretty disturbing pictures of our opinion, much too old spiders.

The reason for the increased emergence of spiders in confined spaces: the relatively humid and mild summer. Wet and cold, many spiders do not like it. With the beginning of the mating season, they prefer to retreat into the warmth and thus probably provide for one or the other screaming incident. According to experts, this year it is generally expected that the amount of spiders that "invade" the dwellings could be record-breaking.

The house spiders can reach a size of up to twelve centimeters, but are harmless to humans. Anyone who annoys them can be bitten, but moreover, contact with such a spider is harmless. Incidentally, domestic spiders (in defiance of their name) usually live in gardens or sheds.

The closer autumn comes, the more we can look forward to long-legged companionship in Germany. Because, of course, not only the British spiders take shelter in warm houses.
