Most people open their bananas from the wrong side. It's best to orient yourself to our animal friend the monkey! You open the banana not on a stick, but always from the other side, so the peel of the fruit peels off easier. Just press on the black end of the banana a bit so that it "splits". Then you can pull the shell apart and open. Now you have a perfectly peeled banana and all without a soggy end.
