Sewing instructions with winter motif

Now winter has finally arrived. How about a sweet reindeer bag that fits in well with the winter season? The bag with the winter reindeer or moose motif is easy to sew with these instructions and is not only suitable for winter holidays, but is also a practical companion in everyday life.

You need this:

  • red-white checked cotton fabric (eg from IKEA)
  • 1 sheet of photocard
  • Teddystoff (fabric department)
  • Textile adhesive (eg from UHU)
  • 4 leather bands in red à 1 m length (craft shop)
  • 2 wooden rings à Ø 5 cm (craft shop)
  • approx. 80 cm ribbon with floral pattern
  • tape measure
  • fabric scissors
  • cereal bowl
  • scissors
  • pencil

And this is how it's done:

1. Cut out of the fabric two rectangles à 35 cm x 30 cm incl. Seam allowances.

2. Round off corners on the short sides, this z. B. take a cereal bowl to help.

3. Cut out a template for the elk (about 20 cm high) from photo carton, place it on the back of the teddy cloth, trace the contours, cut out.

4. Stick moose with textile adhesive in the middle of the right side of one of the fabric rugs.

5. Sew pieces of fabric together right to right, leaving the opening at the top.

6. Cut 2 leather bands of 12 cm each, put one around the wooden ring to the loop.

7. Tilt the upper edge of the pocket opening approx. 1 cm, pin and stitch. The leather straps on the right and left are included. Turn the bag.

8. Sew up the ribbon at the opening of the bag.

9. 3 leather strips of 1 m length to a ribbon intertwine, knot on the wooden rings.

TIP: Enlarge the moose from the photo in the copy shop to a height of 20 cm
let and then cut out.
