Since the kitty is happy
Your cat will really start off on this homemade toy. With the help of our guide, your kitty can play with it too soon.
You need this for the cat toy:
- Paper for the template
- Felt in pink, pink and gray (craft shop)
- Embroidery thread in white, pink, black and gray
- Feathers (craft shop)
- Adhesive strips (eg tesa)
- Filling cotton (craft shop)
- Catnip in the form of a drop (Fressnapf)
- pencil
- scissors
- French chalk
- fabric scissors
- sewing needle
- Hot glue gun and hot glue
And that's how easy it is:
1. Record and cut out a template for the bird.
2. Transfer the template with tailor's chalk to the felt and cut out two for each bird.
3. Sew on the eyes with black embroidery thread.
4. Take the feathers together to a small bouquet and glue them together with tape.
5. Sew the two halves of the bird together with embroidery thread using simple stitches. When you have reached the tail, put the spring bouquet in and sew tight.
6. To fill open an opening and stuff the bird with the filling cotton. Sew the bird completely.
Tip: Drizzle catnip on the filling cotton. Then the cats find the toy even more interesting.
7. Fasten several springs with hot glue for the wing.
8. Finally cut a small triangle for the beak and glue it with hot glue.
Done is the cat toy!
