1. Chop candles with a grater.
2. Melt wax in a hot water bath (bowl in a pot of water).
3. Lay out the baking tray with aluminum foil.
4. Pour a thin layer of wax onto the baking sheet.
5. Put wax on. Press the cookie cutters and wicks into the wax and allow to dry.
6. Hold wicks in position with crossed toothpicks.
7. Pour remaining wax into the cookie cutters and allow to dry. Leave a small margin so that the candles can be better removed from the mold later.
Do not allow candles to burn unattended and avoid drafts. Keep the burning bowl clean. If the candle smokes, wick shorten something. Only burn the candle on an incombustible base.
