Every year we celebrate the end of the year: New Year's Eve !
We celebrate to say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new one with sparkling fireworks and cracking bollards. Evil spirits are to be kept away with it, according to the old faith.
But why does New Year's Eve really New Year's Eve?
The name derives from the Latin "silva", which means "forest" in German and dates back to the year 1582, in which the calendar reform the death of Pope Silvester I († December 31, 335) from the 24th on the December 31st.
For us today, however, it is particularly important that we review the past year and internally adjust to a new, possibly even better, year. And that is only possible with a lavishly decorated Silverster party !
