More self-confidence

Are you always too strict with yourself? These eight exercises help you to love yourself despite minor quirks - and not to make life unnecessarily difficult

  • Let negative thoughts disappear

You do not get rid of the thought "I'm too fat"? Imagine this sentence as the screensaver on the computer : it turns, gets smaller, then disappears completely. The technique helps to strengthen other negative thoughts and to love oneself .
  • Take a journey through time

You have made a mistake and would like to go ashamed of shame? Imagine how they will think about the situation in ten years' time. This change of perspective makes sense to realize that everything is not so bad after all.
  • Play Super Woman

Suppose you had a great sense of self and you did not care what others think about you: what would you do? What to wear? What to try for a sport ? Do it! Because what is stopping you? That's just you!
  • Just be the best!

Nothing worked and you feel totally incompetent? Always calm, after all, there are many things that you are sure to master. It helps to love oneself when you do what is wrong after a failure. No matter if it is baking or sport.
  • Be more lenient

With the cake your friend could have put more effort. You could have done better. Stop! They distinguish between "winners" and "losers". So you constantly worry about losing yourself. Allow your girlfriend to do something wrong - and yourself too!
  • Click happy

"What's special about me?" For fun (without putting it online), fill out a profile on an internet single market and describe your positive traits there. This helps you to see yourself in a positive light.
  • Become an individualist

Your friend tells you about her job, her fabulous salary, her tight sports program - and you are jealous. Instead of comparing yourself, better actively focus on the benefits of your life and your dreams. Loving oneself starts with a strengthened ego.
  • Complete a compliment box

Unlike criticism, we forget quickly when someone says something nice to us. It is therefore worth noting down every compliment you receive on a piece of paper - and keeping it in a box. The notes can be read when things are not going so well.
