"Say..."

"Joana", "loving you" - his songs are hymns. Roland Kaiser (60) is the most successful German pop singer with 90 million records sold. Following his lung transplantation in 2010, he was able to seamlessly build on his success with the albums "Alles ist möglich" and "Affären" .

That's another reason why he receives the coveted "My Star of the Year" award in the category "Schlagerstar des Jahres" . The Audience Award of the "Bauer Media Group" will be presented on February 13 in Hamburg. We talked to the singer in advance ...

"My star of the year"

Roland Kaiser: It is always a special honor to receive a prize from the public. This has the same quality as the applause at the end of a concert.

Proud

Roland Kaiser: I am not a person who tends to develop pride. I feel more joy, joy over things that I have succeeded in life. Professional as well as private.

affairs

Roland Kaiser: They often exist in life. Affaires are temporary relationships, spicy, passionate, with the orchestra, with the audience, with a city, with a woman. And I even married the most wonderful affair of my life (wife Silvia, note of the Red.).

dreams

Roland Kaiser: My whole life is like a dream. I just live the one I could have dreamed of years ago - when I was still ill.

Do good

Roland Kaiser: During a visit to a children's hospice, I was impressed by how strong these children were, how much joy of life, love and comfort they gave to their families. I wanted to help.

Organ donation

Roland Kaiser: I hope to raise people's awareness about organ donation through my commitment as ambassador of the German Foundation for Organ Transplantation. If this effort leads to a greater willingness to donate, I have achieved my goal of hopefully making a small contribution to a more "humane" society.

"Crime scene"

Roland Kaiser: In the "Tatort" in Münster I am playing a small guest role on March 24th (8.15 pm, ARD). In fact, the "crime scene" from my adopted home is also one of my favorite shows on television. Incidentally, both of my teenage children like to switch on here. As for the "Münster crime scene", we have the same TV taste. This is otherwise rare.
