Drama in Chile

These were moments that must have been terrible for Prince Frederik (44). It must have seemed like hours when he suddenly lost contact with his Mary (41) on the flight to the Gaby Mines in northern Chile. Both were traveling separately in helicopters and suddenly Princess Mary had disappeared.

A shock to the crown prince couple on his last day of state visit to Chile. While Frederik was worried about where the helicopter had stayed with his wife-if he had even crashed-the helicopter in which Princess Mary was sitting made an emergency landing . He had no GPS signal and was forced to make an emergency landing, reports the "Billet-Bladet".

According to the Danish magazine, the helicopter pilot had to land in the desert despite the "special atmospheric conditions". A difficult task that he had to master and therefore could not talk much during the maneuver. Not even with the passengers who might not have known what the pilot was doing right now.

How bad was the emergency landing of Crown Princess Mary really?

The landing succeeded and the GPS signal could be restored. Prince Frederik was immediately informed of the incident and waited at the destination for his Mary, who arrived at the mines later.

Court spokesman Christian Schønau, who was with in Chile, confirmed the incident and said: "Now they are here and everything went well."

Two hours late, Prince Frederik and his Mary had the emergency landing, so they could not complete the whole day's program. But what is it worth when it comes to a loved one?
