Princess Madeleine: Her ex gets in her way

Not only Madeleine will marry next year, her ex is also daring.

He too is engaged!

In Stockholm, the gossip blooms: A few days after Princess Madeleine (30) had announced her engagement with the banker Christopher O'Neill (38), the ex- the Princess, Jonas Bergström (33), also announced a promise of marriage.

His chosen one is Madeleines formerly best friend - Stéphanie af Klercker (30). Jonas and Stéphanie also want to marry in the summer of 2013, pretty much at the same time as Princess Madeleine and Christopher.

An affront, a disturbing maneuver, as many think?

At first glance, everything looks like a vendetta: Jonas, who was promoted after a side jump in a high arc from the royal environment, now openly demonstrates to his exiles that he too has ticked off the past and "timely" with a also engaged attractive Stockholm-based Societylady and wants to "come by chance" at the same time in front of the altar.

It smells like show stealing, because Jonas and Stéphanie are already attracting far more attention than if they had revealed their plans for the future someday.

At second glance, however, the matter is less piquant: There are two couples, similar in age, similar in length together, similarly in love and with the same illusions of the "eternal" love.

All four dream of family and baby happiness. "If Jonas should say something about his bride, we can not marry in 2013, the year has already occupied my former fiancée, " ask some friends of Madeleine's ex-boyfriend ironically.

They even go one step further and say that Jonas and Stéphanie live in Stockholm and got engaged there, so they should marry in the Swedish metropolis as well.

Madeleine, on the other hand, lives in New York, her fiancé has an English and an American passport, even though the two of them may also seal their marriage covenant ...

A naughty council, but it shows that many Swedes assume that Madeleine never comes home completely, but remains in America.

Unless she thinks that New York (apart from the storm disaster) is not a suitable place for small children. For those the contemplative and scenic Sweden is undoubtedly ideal.
