Prince Philip is knocking proverbs again

Business as usual

"Beware of old men, they have nothing to lose!" This quote from satirist Georg Bernard Shaw († 1950) also seems to apply to Prince Philip (91), because he knows no mercy - neither with his ailing health, nor in terms of humor.

Despite his bladder inflammation that flared up again in August, which kept him tied to the hospital bed for a few days, the sprightly prince is back in business and continues to suggest good advice on taking back.

In October alone he took 15 appointments. In November, even 25 are planned. Every time one of his confidants tries to prince the prince for some more rest, or even makes arrangements to postpone or cancel appointments, Prince Philip stubbornly turns out to be a donkey. "Business as usual" is his motto. Everything should continue as before.

Prince Philip seems to be fine at the moment. And he's already knocking proverbs again. When he was recently awarded an honorary doctorate from Plymouth University, he was also to inaugurate a new university building.

There he stood in the cold and heated the mood of the audience: "Are you ready for this?" Under tension he revealed the inscription on a limestone and joked once: "There is a spelling mistake!".

But it did not stop. In his speech, he took himself to the grain, according to British "Express". His university career has been around for a while and unlike most people, he started the wrong way around. "I became Rector of the University of Wales in 1947 and since then it has been downhill."

The marriage with his Elizabeth (86) and the "promotion" to the prince as career break - yes, such joking sayings are known by Prince Philip . He does not take himself so seriously and his Elizabeth loves his humor. He can not leave it and you just have to like him ...
