Everyone knows that Prince Philip (91) is a man who does not mince words. His sayings, which he at home or abroad on suitable or inappropriate opportunities, are sometimes funny, sometimes ironic, sometimes snappy, sometimes embarrassing, but always somehow original.
The creative team Phil Dampier & Ashley Walton saw in Philips constant Patzern also wonderful material for a small book, which is now available in the UK in shops and on the Internet. The title: "Prince Philip - Wise words and Golden Gaffes" ("Prince Philip - Wise Words and Golden Auschwitzers").
The occasion to launch the band, which is "seasoned" with many cartoons, right now is the Iron Wedding of Queen Elizabeth (86) and her Prince Consort.
His recipe for 65 years of happiness for two is also read in the book : "The secret of a long marriage is that you should have different interests in life".
Prince Philip knows that his wife seems to accept this, since she had to close her ears more than once in the past few decades because she was "not amused" about her husband's comments, yet she obviously had enough British humor, to at least secretly smile about so many remarks.
This should probably also include Philips often quoted sentence, which he expressed in 1947 right after his wedding to a friend: "I am no more than a fucking mutant. The only man in the country who can not even pass on his name to his children. "
