family idyll
Philatelists will now be beating their hearts a little faster: there are again new stamps from the Norwegian royal family! Both Prince Haakon (39) and his wife Mette-Marit (39) celebrate their 40th birthday this year. There are postage stamps with a family idyll.
It is still a while until the birthday of Prince Haakon (July 20) and Mette-Marit (August 19), but already today the new stamps came onto the market.
There are four pieces in total. Two of them show the crown prince couple. The third stamp adorns a family portrait: Prince Haakon, Mette-Marit and their three children: Marius (16, Mette-Marit's son from a previous relationship), Ingrid Alexandra (9) and Sverre Magnus (7), who admittedly looks a bit skeptical.
On the fourth stamp, the succession of the throne is incarnate: to see are namely King Harald (76), Crown Prince Haakon and his successor Princess Ingrid Alexandra.
The Message: The patchwork family is doing well and the monarchy is doing well. Then the citizens only have to write letters diligently to continue the happy news ...
