Now revealed!

Everyone knows that Prince Carl Philip of Sweden is a sporty guy. He is an avid racing driver and an excellent skier. Two sports that require a lot of hard work and an unusual combination. Where the king's son could have copied these, journalists now believe to have found out.

You tap Prince Leopold of Bavaria, called Poldi. As a childhood friend of King Carl Gustaf, the Wittelsbach scion is closely intertwined with the Bernadottes. So close that he became the godfather of Prince Carl Philip. It was probably impressed many years ago during the many family reunions in Sweden as well as in Germany the then still small Carl Philip, what his German Godfather so everything on it has - especially on the race track.

Because Prince Poldi has "gasoline in his blood". For more than three decades he has made his rounds in the Opel, in the Alfa, in the Porsche and in the BMW on many international racetracks around the world. He stood on the winners podium more than 120 times until he retired from the active paddock in 1998. Today, at 70, he is a BMW representative and still likes to participate in rallies or vintage car rallies for good causes. A career that Carl Philip is also aiming for are insiders from the environment of the prince sure.

The situation is similar on the ski slope. As Bayer, Poldi, like Carl Philip, comes from a region where every child is put on the boards in winter. Again, a parallel between godfather and godson: While Carl Philip recently proved his stamina and speed during the traditional Vasa race, Prince Poldi was only recently seen together with Prince Albert of Monaco in Seefeld / Austria as a prominent participant in the charity ski event "Star Team for Children".
