You need this for the wool basket:

  • Computer, printer and paper
  • 55 cm cork
  • 55 cm lining in purple
  • paper scissors
  • French chalk
  • fabric scissors
  • pins
  • Sewing machine and matching yarn
  • needle

And this is how it's done:

1. Download, print and cut pattern.
2. Put the pattern on the fabric and draw with edges chalk the edges plus 1 cm seam allowance. Repeat procedure for lining material.
3. Cut out both parts, place them right to right and fix with needles.
4. Stitch the four outer edges with 1 cm seam allowance.
5. Pull open corners apart so that upper and lower fabric meet. Fix with needles and stitch. Leave a corner open for turning.
6. Turn part and close the still open edge with mattress stitch by hand.
7. Sew up the top edge with a short edge and fold over the edge.
