Homemade wool pompoms are real DIY all-purpose weapons. We make pillow covers, bookmarks, coasters and much more.

This is what you need for the pillows with pompoms:

  • Pompon-Maker-Set (from Prym, department store / haberdashery)
  • Wool in different shades of blue
  • Hobby scissors
  • yarn
  • needle

And that's how easy it is:

1. Select the desired size from the pompom set and manufacture a Pompon in light blue according to the manufacturer's instructions.

2. Cut the pompon and sew to the pillow with thread.

3. Make other pompoms as desired and sew on more pillows.

You need it for the coasters:

  • Ball of wool in dark red
  • Ball of yarn in pink
  • pastry fork
  • Hobby scissors
  • yarn
  • needle

And that's how easy it is:

For a saucer you need about 14 small pompons.

1. Wind wool around the tines of a fork to the desired density.

2. Pull a piece of wool between the tines and tie a tight knot.

3. Carefully pull the pompon off the fork, cut the sides around with the scissors and then cut into shape.

4. Sew the finished pompom threads and sew them together in a circle at the bottom.

This is what you need for the pompom bookmark:

  • green wool
  • Pompon Maker (craft shop)
  • scissors

And that's how easy it is:

1. For the pompoms, wrap 2 semicircles of the pompom with wool as per the package instructions.

2. Put the two halves together and cut the wool sideways with scissors.

3. Pass a double wool thread between the template sides and knit in the middle so that the wool comes up to the pompon. Leave thread to knot long.

4. Remove the pieces of pompom board and, if necessary, use a pair of scissors to polish the wool ball, ie cut the threads the same length.

5. Knot two finished pom poms with the long remaining threads (at a distance of about 20 cm (depends on the length of the book))
