With love against homophobia
A lesbian couple sits on a plane to St. Petersburg, shoots a love-taking selfie - and brings a Russian politician on the palm.
This is what a peaceful revolution looks like: When a lesbian couple spotted homophobic politician Vitaly Milonov on a flight from Moscow to St. Petersburg, the two did not hesitate and shot a kiss-selfie .
The photo promptly posted the two LGBT activists on Twitter, with the comment: "Milonow, kissing lesbians and a Hitler salute." All Russia in one picture. In fact, the photo could not be more contradictory, the in love lesbians are in stark contrast to the Russian politician Milonow. He is known for his public discrimination of homosexuals in laws against the "propaganda of homosexuality".
The Russian politician also reacted to the Twitter post as expected: with a lot of vile insults and discriminatory insults. "Crazy, stupid cows" and "bastard", are still some of the comparatively harmless comments Milonov. In a later interview, the politician expressed even more drastic: "We are driving the perverts out of Saint Petersburg."
What's wrong with that?
The fact that Witali Milonov must have gone a little bit wrong was shown by the Russian politician with his appalling homophobic views: he finds homosexuality comparable to pedophilia and sued Lady Gaga for her call for tolerance towards homosexuals.
Since a harmless Twitter image already seems like a small revolution.
