Like in the woods

Do you only know mushrooms from the forest? That will change soon, because from now on we will decorate our living rooms with the autumn decoration objects.

A decoration with mushrooms - we mean here rather the artificial ones - makes from our space a little magic grove ...

Decorate mushrooms on the table

You need this:

Humpback moss (from the florist), ceramic bowl, deco felt (deco store)

That's how it's done:

1. Place humpback moss in a small bowl.2. Put mushrooms in the moss.3. Arrange on the table.

Decorate mushrooms : as in the forest

You need this:

Plates (eg from Casagent), humpback moss (from the florist), deco-molds (deco-shops), cones (self-collected or decoloured), deer (eg from Idee Creativmarkt and / or Dekoladen), glass bell (eg. by House Doctor), glass jar (eg depot), nuts, tree-look candle (eg from Lenffer)

How to do it:

1. Cover plate with humpback moss. Arrange mushrooms, cones and deer on it. Put glass bell on it.2. Fill the glass jar with nuts and place a candle in the middle.3. Decorate mushrooms and deer around it.

Mushrooms made of fabric

This is needed:

Paper for the template, brown fabric (for top of the mushroom cap), beige fabric (for bottom of the mushroom cap and stem), filling cotton, computer and printer, cloth scissors, pins, sewing machine and matching yarn, sewing needle

That's how it's done:

1. Print out the template, cut it out and cut a circle from the brown and one from the beige fabric for the mushroom cap. In doing so, leave a notch for the dart. Sew the darts with the sewing machine, leaving an opening on the mushroom underside for turning.3. Place the two pieces of mushroom cap right to right and sew them all around.4. Turn through the opening.5. Gently squeeze the cap with filler cotton through the opening.6. Sew up the opening by hand and press both parts together as tightly as possible.7. Cut the stalk out of beige fabric twice, sewing it right side together, leaving it open at the top. Turn fabric over and stuff tightly with cotton wool.8. Stitch the stem in the middle of the mushroom cap base by hand.

Our tip: For smaller mushrooms, change the dimensions of the template accordingly.

Mushrooms on the table

You need this:

Materials, birch trunk approx. 5 to 8 cm wide (can be bought at flower shop), saw for wood (hardware store), Forstner drill 40 mm (hardware store), wood drill 20 mm (hardware store), drill, tealights, test tube (craft shop)

The instruction:

1. Cut the birch trunk in different lengths with a hand saw.2. For the tealight holders, drill a 2 cm deep hole in the center of the logs with a 40 mm Forstner bit.3. To obtain vases, use a 20 mm wood drill to drill a hole about 8-10 cm deep in birch trunks and insert a test tube into the hole.

Mushrooms and flowers ...

... make a nice ensemble. Red dahlias, ball thistle, alstroemeria, yarrow and viburnum like to keep the mushrooms company.

Arrange the icing on the cake with a decorative deer.

(Deco deer is available at Butlers, for example: Little Vase: Bloomingville)

Mushrooms made of knitwear

How about a somewhat unusual mushroom decoration? Knit mushrooms, for example, are a pretty eye-catcher.
