Oh you beautiful Easter

To give away or keep yourself: The pretty Vasenhusse conjures Easter flair in your own four walls. Here is the sewing instructions.

You need it for the Vasenhusse:

  • 1 x nettle cloth 65 x 40 cm
  • 2 x brown linen fabric 65 x 40 cm
  • 1 circle for the floor of ø 19 cm of linen fabric
  • 1 circle for the bottom of ø 19 cm from nettle fabric
  • 1x 65 x 12 cm white cotton fabric
  • Bunny stamp (by Heindesign 8, 90 €)
  • textile stamping ink (craft shop)
  • Vase or pot of daffodils
  • tape measure
  • French chalk
  • scissors
  • pins
  • Sewing machine and sewing thread in white

And that's how easy it is:

1. Cut 1xfabric fabric and 2x linen to 65 cm length and 40 cm width.

2. For the floor cut a circle of both fabrics with a diameter of 19 cm.

3. Cut a strip of white cotton fabric 65 cm long and 12 cm wide for the bunny border.

4. Iron everything smoothly.

5. Place the cut nettle fabric between the two linen strips, pin with pins and sew together.

6. Lay the two circles for the floor together and sew together at the edges.

7. On the white strip of cloth, evenly spaced, apply the hare stamp with black textile dye in the middle.

8. Narrow edged upper and lower edges of the stamped fabric.

9. Pin the rabbit border to the canvas strip with a distance of 6 cm from the top edge, and then sew. Make sure that the bunnies are pointing with their ears down (standing upside down).

10. Turn the fabric.

11. Begin pinning the bottom at the bottom edge of the line strip (side without hare border) with the bottom with the nettle side facing up. The seams of the two parts should be placed directly on top of each other.

12. Sew together the bottom and side panels 1 cm offset inwards.

13. Turn the bag over once on the right side.

14. Turn the rabbit border, which is still inward, outwards (now the rabbits are upright!) And turn the end edge of the bag inwards.

Info: The layer of nettle fabric serves as reinforcement, so that the bag is stable!
