Maritime decoration

Fischer's Fritz fishes fresh fish and you can sew a fish pillow to match this saying.

You need this for the fishcushion:

  • blue fabric about 3 square meters
  • Belt (craft shop)
  • fiberfill
  • fabric glue
  • French chalk
  • pins
  • Sewing machine with matching yarn
  • scissors
  • sewing needle

And that's how easy it is:

  1. Place two blue cotton fabrics together right side to right.
  2. Record fish shape with a tailor's chalk. Put a belt between the fabric layers, fix fabric and belt with pins.
  3. Sew fabrics along the recorded contour. Leave an opening for turning.
  4. Cut off fabrics with a short edge along the seam.
  5. Turn fabric through the hole.
  6. Pad fish with filling cotton.
  7. Close the hole.
  8. From fabric residues, cut off eyes and finscale and stick with textil adhesive.

Tip: Alternatively, cut one side of the oilcloth fish. This gives a waterproof base.
