Blub, blub: This self-sewn fish pillow is an absolute eye-catcher and gives every garden a maritime touch and provides the extra convenience on the beach trip. Here is the guide.
Maritime decoration
Fischer's Fritz fishes fresh fish and you can sew a fish pillow to match this saying.
You need this for the fishcushion:
- blue fabric about 3 square meters
- Belt (craft shop)
- fiberfill
- fabric glue
- French chalk
- pins
- Sewing machine with matching yarn
- scissors
- sewing needle
And that's how easy it is:
- Place two blue cotton fabrics together right side to right.
- Record fish shape with a tailor's chalk. Put a belt between the fabric layers, fix fabric and belt with pins.
- Sew fabrics along the recorded contour. Leave an opening for turning.
- Cut off fabrics with a short edge along the seam.
- Turn fabric through the hole.
- Pad fish with filling cotton.
- Close the hole.
- From fabric residues, cut off eyes and finscale and stick with textil adhesive.
Tip: Alternatively, cut one side of the oilcloth fish. This gives a waterproof base.
