Tattoo collars were one of the worst trends in the nineties. Now they are back!
Anyone who was a teenager in the 1990s has tattoo collars. This trend has really passed none. It was particularly cool, who has worn several bands on top of each other or maybe even on the wrist or on the foot . In retrospect, scratchy plastic bands are pretty stupid to tie around the neck. It was just cool then.
The unbelievable: The collars are back . Not only in plastic, but also as more elaborate chains of velvet or other materials. So far, tattoo collars were reserved only for some hipsters from Berlin. Since the last Coachella Festival in California, every girl between the ages of 14 and 30 wears the tight plastic bands with an Instagram account and fashion blog.
Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie also liked to wear tight necklaces in the 90s. Pretty or not? A little bit, the narrow chains remind of dog collars.
Maybe you're lucky and find some old tapes in the back of your drawers. I think I'll give it up this time and leave this trend to others. But I'm looking forward to see the worst trend of the nineties again as a gift in the bravo and the girls on the street.
