Free router choice

From August everyone can choose their own router. The providers are obliged to give you the necessary data and information free of charge to their customers. However: If something is then defective on the desired router, the router manufacturer must be contacted. The provider is not liable for this.

Higher minimum wage in the electrical trade

The minimum wage will be gradually raised - at least in the electrical trade. In the old federal states it rises from 10.10 euros to 10, 35 euros, in the new federal states from 9.35 euros to 9.85 euros.

Hartz IV rule change

For the unemployed, the following changes will take effect from 1 August:

  • Unemployment benefit II and social allowance are now approved for twelve months (so far only six months)
  • Long-term unemployed people are allowed to work 1-euro jobs for three years
  • Trainees can top up with unemployment benefit II - even if they already receive subsidies

Student loan increase

The Bafög rate for students increases by at least 7 percent. Those who no longer live with their parents can receive up to 9.7 percent more. The maximum rate is 735 euros. In addition, an additional 110, 000 students will receive the right to student loans. The reason: The income allowances of parents increase from August.

Those who receive Master Bafög (those who have you trained as a craftsman or industrial master, technician, specialist or state-certified educator) may also expect an increase.

Change in the measure enforcement

If an offender is considered to be "reduced to culpability" or "completely incapable of acting" in court, he usually enters the so-called prison sentence, ie psychiatry. So far, the perpetrators had to stay there for a long time. This may change from August. The security detention of such perpetrators should now be checked regularly, every two or three years. It is supposed to be checked by an appraiser, but not by the same person who was present during the trial of the perpetrator.

At the same time, the qualification requirements of the experts are to be increased.

Higher subsidies for further education

In the future, there should be bonuses for completed exams - at least for employees who make up their professional qualifications. And: Anyone who works in a small or medium-sized business receives subsidies if they continue their education outside working hours.
