No other means of self-expression is used more often on the internet than the selfie. In 2013, it was even voted the word of the year by the Oxford Dictionary, and it's estimated that approximately 30% of 18-24 year old cell phone shots are snapshots of the owners themselves.
Now (finally?) The next step is: A social network only for selfies ! The name of the app "Selfie" is a bit misleading because instead of photos, videos are shared here for up to 24 seconds. These are easily taken with the front camera of the iPhone and finally posted. Thematically, there are no limits: From sports to fashion to politics everything should be discussed.
Similar to Twitter, there is the possibility to follow his favorite accounts and to post video responses himself. Everything is shared publicly, but there are also group and single chat options. The inventors explain the benefits of the "selfie" app as follows: "We saw the possibility of creating a whole new kind of social network in which people communicate face to face, much more than in the" real "world."
