Jette Joop at QVC: Why exactly this sales channel?
The live shows on TV offer me the framework of a multimedia boutique with a high level of consulting. I find that very exciting. Finally, I can directly and personally present and explain my collections for the TV viewers.
Why can you sell bags at QVC that might not be on sale in the store?
A product presentation on TV has many advantages. Here I can pass my inspiration to the designs of the JETTE handbag collection directly to the customers and point out, for example, hidden details of the bags. What's also great: I can personally advise the customers and give important styling tips.
What's up with Jette Joop's image? To-earth?
We have received great support for our cooperation with QVC. The customers are very appreciative that I bring them closer to my brand as a designer in a personal way. The JETTE collection is very diverse. I present the whole spectrum live on air. Where else is there? I have always said that I want to make my designs accessible to many people, and I remain faithful to this principle.
Are you working harder or harder because the amount and the market are getting bigger?
Of course, this requires a greater commitment, but I enjoy my work and have chosen my job as a designer quite deliberately. This also means that you always keep up with the times and adapt to new developments.
Her father Wolfgang Joop is also a successful designer. Do you get advice from him?
As a rule, everyone does their own thing with us. Of course, I also take his feedback to heart. After all, he is very experienced and has been in business for years.
What is it like when a lot of women on the street suddenly wear their bags and clothes?
I feel very honored when women wear my designs, and I am happy when I see a woman on the way wearing my jewelery. This is the biggest applause for me as a designer.
What's the next goal? Are there any concrete plans?
From the end of October, we will also be presenting exclusive parts from our JETTE jewelry collection at QVC. I am looking forward to that. I myself have already bought jewelry on TV.
