How to make a beautiful lantern from a balloon and wax? Very easily! Just follow our step-by-step instructions.
That's what you need for the wax lanterns:
- balloons
- Candles, candles or white wax tiles
- skewer
- Plate
- LED tea lights
- funnel
- measuring cup
- 2 pots for the water bath
And that's how easy it is:
1. Pour some water into the balloon and inflate halfway until it reaches the desired size for the later lantern . Knot balloon.
2. Heat the wax in a water bath until it is liquid.
3. Gently dip the balloon in half so that it is covered with wax.
4. Carefully place the balloon on the ground once for stability. Dry the wax and let it solidify. Repeat the process several times until a stable shell has formed.
5. When a stable layer of wax has formed, carefully prick the balloon with a skewer and remove any water and balloon residue.
In this way, produce desired number of lanterns and arrange on a plate. Insert LED tealights .
Tip: Before diving the balloon put on apron and lay out work surface with paper (if the balloon bursts).
