A touch of spring

With these colorful spring colors we spontaneously get into a good mood and really want to make this beautiful placemat. They also?

What you need for the placemat:

  • 1 x table set of your choice (eg from Butlers)
  • 1 x Martha Stewart paint (Multi-Surface Acrylic Satin 59 ml in color: Summer Linen on www.efco.de)
  • 1 x foam swab by Martha Stewart (www.efco.de)
  • 1 x floral motif stamp (eg lilac)
  • 1 x stamp set "Butterflies" (by Cavallini & Co. on www.avie-art.de)
  • double-sided adhesive tape
  • 1 x acrylic block (by Rayher)
  • 1 x Inkpad in Pink (by Rico Design)
  • 1 x Inkpad in MintColor Box (by IDEE)
  • 1 xSand tape narrow in pink (haberdashery trade)
  • 1x paper bag (eg from IDEE)
  • 1x lace trims (haberdashery)
  • Iron
  • Plate
  • pencil
  • cutter
  • scissors
  • needle and thread

That's how it works:

1. Iron the placemat and place it on a smooth undersurface. Place a plate with a diameter of approx. 16 cm in the center of the set and mark light marks on the top, bottom, right and left with the pencil.

2. Apply the paint with a foam swab well dosed on the stamp. Distribute the pattern evenly in a circle with the pistil. If the stamp is applied to a wooden support, carefully remove the stamp with a cutter and stick it to a matching acrylic block with double-sided adhesive tape. So you can see exactly how to best place the stamp to achieve a consistent result.

3. Allow the paint to dry well, erase the pencil and iron the set from the left (observe the manufacturer's instructions).

4. From the narrow silk ribbon knot a small loop and sew on the desired place on the set.

5. Stamp the paper bag with the desired stamp motifs in any color and let it dry.

6. Cut the lace border to length and apply narrow double-sided adhesive tape at the bottom edge. Gradually remove the protective paper strip and glue the border into the bag at the top.
