Pay more? This campaign is shaking awake

There's a good reason why these jeans need to be more expensive.

"Made by humans" by Armedangels provides a topic of conversation

The message of this photo is only visible at second glance. No, this is not a normal advertising campaign, but the demand of a Fairtrade label: Stop the cheap madness - fair fashion must also be paid fair!

Everywhere a brightly colored sale labels light up: Here are two parts for the price of one, as 20 percent on everything. Bags full, nothing paid. In between, suddenly this poster: Jeans formerly 39.90 euros, now 60 euros more. First thought: dearer, what is that ?! But behind it lies a well thought out strategy. A statement for longevity, sustainability and social compatibility. For what looks like an average H & M campaign out of the corner of his eye is in reality the advertisement of a German Fairtrade label. Armedangels promotes the principle: fair goods, fair price . Including the addition "Made by Humans" .

"Our goal was to make our attitude clear with the poster", says managing director Martin Höfeler opposite WUNDERWEIB.de. "We want to draw attention to the social imbalance in the fashion industry and fight for something to change here - fashion should be fun, but not just for those who wear it!"

A message that also arrives on Facebook. "That's the way it goes! Quality prevails", users post under the picture. But criticism also comes up, which is directed primarily against the addition "Made by Humans": "Finally, the workers in the factories for Primark and Co are also people, " it says in the comments. But it is precisely this awareness that is what Fairtrade labels like Armedangels are all about : "Of course, they are human beings, so they have to be treated and paid for." The fact is: whoever does not want to have a guilty conscience about what he wears has to pay the price. Completely fair-made clothing for a ridiculous price does not exist. And that's just what makes such campaigns impressive again and again.

Large posters with the motif can be found, for example, here in Berlin. Cleverly done: the message of the "Made by Humans" campaign can only be recognized at second glance.
