You are so quiet today?
Matthias Reim: I have stage fright like hell. I usually sit in the dressing room now, drinking a cappuccino and doing a health test.
Is there cause for concern?
Matthias Reim: No, I'm just scared every time that I get sick shortly before a performance. That the voice fails, I suddenly get earache. I always make sure that I'm fit too.
The tour continues until June. Glad to be with wife Sarah (35) and your children again?
Matthias Reim: Very. I miss Romy and Romeo as soon as I'm out the door. And Julian, my big son too. He first moved to Lake Constance. Living together is great.
Now only Marie (12) is missing from her relationship with Michelle (41) - then you would have all the children under one roof ...
Matthias Reim: That would be nice. But I know Marie is happy with her mother, she's fine. And of course, when I'm near Cologne, I visit them. I am always happy to see you.
What kind of father are you?
Matthias Reim: An inconsistent. One that children can always wrap around their fingers.
Her son Julian is as musical as you. Are you proud of him?
Matthias Reim: I am proud of all my children. But Julian has talent. When I'm on tour, he calls me three times a day to play me a new song that he has composed.
