Why they all love each other
It was a simple but very moving ceremony: Last Sunday, 21 July 2013, King Albert (79) thanked the throne after nearly 20 years and his eldest son Philippe (53) took the oath of office in front of the Parliament in Brussels At his side the beautiful Mathilde (40).
The whole people cheered the new royal couple when it showed up with the whole family on the palace balcony. The Belgians love their young queen with the big heart.
She is the strong woman on the side of the somewhat timid Philip. Mathilde, born Countess d'Udekem d'Acoz. The beautiful, 1.76-meter speech therapist from Flemish landed nobility, kissed the Belgian king's son awake.
