Year's best: Marsala is "Color Of The Year"

There are many nuances in each season, but only one officially wears the title "Color of the Year". It is named by the US company Pantone and 2015 is called "Marsala" - a profound mix of red and brown.

It is no coincidence that we are all about liqueur wine red next year: After all, "Marsala", that is, a slightly brownish red, is the color of the year . Established by the Color Institute Pantone in the US city of Carlstadt. Here, the color experts literally comb the world to discover new influences. This includes the entertainment industry, popular travel destinations, new artists and other social phenomena. Even new technical developments such as textures and effects are noticeable.

After "Emerald Green" 2013 and his successor "Radiant Orchid" 2015 is therefore "Marsala" turn. And the winner's color is already evident in one or the other Spring / Summer collection. Dries Van Noten, Louis Vuitton, Christopher Kane and Jenny Packham all put on the new trend tone.

And we can also enjoy the Pantone trend color 2015: Marsala goes a little bit more in the pink than an ordinary brown, can be great to combine with metallic parts or denim, does as well in solid fabrics as knit, as fine as silk, even as a fancy handbag, we see the trend color already dangling over our shoulders. And as a beauty trend? Perfect! Nail polish and lipstick in Marsala can already be bought (see gallery above).
