Product recall: Plastic particles found in chocolate bars

Sweets maker Mars has announced a huge nationwide recall. Numerous chocolate bars are affected, including Mars and Snickers. A consumer had found plastic particles in the product.

The manufacturer's recommendation is that all confectionery from Mars and Snickers with a best-before date between 19 June 2016 and 8 January 2017 no longer be consumed.

Affected are also Milky Way Minis and Miniatures, as well as the candy mix Celebrations.

The affected chocolate bars were manufactured according to the company in the Netherlands.

For safety reasons, the manufacturer Mars has deliberately chosen a large period of the expiration dates for the products that are being recalled. The reason for the huge product recall was the discovery of a customer who noticed plastic particles in his candy bar.
