L'Wren (pronounced Lauren) Scott was much more than the woman on the side of over-rock star Mick Jaggers. The story of the 1.94 m tall American woman is more reminiscent of the fairy tale of the brave little tailor than that of Cinderella - she has been sewing L'Wren Scott since she was a child.
L'Wren Scott began her career in her hometown of Utah, USA, where she grew up with Mormons. At that time, her name was Luann Bambrough - and she noticed. Her almost 2 meters tall made the well-known photographer Bruce Weber aware of her. The lost one day in the wilderness and was immediately impressed by the dark-haired beauty.
On his advice, L'Wren Scott set off for Paris - of course, via one-way ticket. The American understands modeling as a ticket to the fashion business. She wants to be a designer, creates and works for fashion designers like Thierry Mugler .
In the nineties, L'Wren Scott moves on to Los Angeles, working with star photographer Herb Ritts and later as a stylist for the biggest Hollywood stars like Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock . She becomes a costume designer for films such as "Eyes Wide Shut" by Stanley Kubrick and in 2000 became the first officially responsible stylist for the Oscars.
In 2006, L'Wren Scott launches its own label and outfits celebrities like Madonna or Oprah Winfrey for the Red Carpet and First Lady Michelle Obama . As a designer, she tries to create "the perfect illusion" with her cuts. Her look is based on razor-sharp silhouettes - just like her bestseller, the "Headmistress Dress". Some seasons later, L'Wren Scott also joins the beauty industry - and designs exceptional make-up looks for Lancôme.
