Lights wire baskets with handle

90 minutes

  • Wire mesh galvanized (craft shop, roll: 1.10 m length x 0.41 m width, about 3.79 euros)
  • Myrtian wire from the roll, thickness 3 mm (craft shop, approx.
      3 Euro)
    • 1 m lace border (haberdashery, about 3 Euro / m)
    • Glue stick (eg from Pritt)
    • tealights
    • Wire cutter or sturdy scissors
    • narrow pliers

    1. Use the wire cutter to cut a cross out of the wire mesh. If the basket is to be square, the struts must all be the same length and the same width.

    2. The edges to be joined must end with an open piece of wire.

    3. Bend up the sides and join the edges together on the piece of wire. To do this, use the pliers. Bend the ends inward with the pliers and pinch the wire.

    4. Build a handle from myrtle wire and wire it to the grid.

    5. Put a strip of lace border around the basket and glue it on.
