Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a non-profit organization in the United States that provides medical services throughout the country, primarily in the fields of gynecology, sexual medicine and family planning. In addition to certain cancer screenings and tests for sexually transmitted diseases and their treatments, these include pregnancy tests, contraceptives and abortions.
During her reading tour of "Not That Kind Of Girl", Girl Inventor Lena Dunham presented T-shirts to help Planned Parenthood. "With the Supreme Court's recent ruling, it is questionable that anything imaginable will be done so that women can be given free counseling in all areas of sexual medicine and family planning, without superiors, politicians or judges being allowed to interfere, " says Lena Dunham accompanying press release. "Planned Partnerhood will be an issue on my book tour, so anyone can learn about the organization's offerings or even become a volunteer."
Lena Dunham's First Step: Make a splash on Instagram and post photos of her celebrity friends, including Mindy Kaling, Ellen Page, Rashida Jones, and Jemima Kirke, with the "Lena Dunham loves Planned Parenthood" shirts .
