Laurèl: feminine fashion with an Asian appeal

At the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in spring / summer 2014

Laurèl stands for luxurious casualness, a look that reflects the zeitgeist. Classic elements meet urban modernity, glamor meets lightness. We met head designer Elisabeth Schwaiger in the backstage area of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. On the runway at the Brandenburg Gate, Laurèl showed his collection "Art meets Asia" for spring / summer 2014.

The Munich label Laurèl (founded in 1978) creates feminine fashion and has a high quality standard. This also applies to the new collection "Art meets Asia", which was presented at the Berlin Fashion Week for the summer of 2014.

"We mixed the typical elements of Asian fashion design with Modern Art, " says Elisabeth Schwaiger in an interview with Maxi.de.

Based on the paintings of the Munich painter and artist Jo Netzko, strong prints were set on traditional cuts from Asia. "Kimono cuts, asymmetry or caftan appearances - there are small elements throughout the collection, but without the costume character, " says the Laurèl chief designer.

Laurèl is modern without getting lost in trends. Always chic, but always with the certain feel-good factor. In addition, Laurèl has always stood for strong colors, which are set in the Spring / Summer 2014 season in contrast to white or an almond tone.

The Laurèl-Keypiece for spring / summer 2014: the jumpsuit. "It's a great look that you can wear from morning till night, with flat ballerinas or flip-flops and high heels in the evening, it's really chic, " says Elisabeth Schwaiger, "and the coverall also hides small problem zones and flatters so to all women who feel uncomfortable in clothes. "

"Our customers are full of vitality, they like to be present and enjoy fashion, " says the designer. Laurèl is designed for women who radiate sovereign femininity. And you can see that in fashion as well.
