Even without a reason
If a social evening is well done then that is not just the host's achievement. The guests also contributed: through good discussions, a lot of laughter and just because of their great company. Thank your guests by making gifts for them yourself !
There are many opportunities to offer party favors. At weddings and confirmations they are almost gang and spit. At birthday parties, they are often goodbye. You can also surprise your guests by having them prepare for a normal evening together, without any reason.
Favors do not have to be a big, elaborate gift basket . The German Knigge Council even recommends to keep gifts rather small. "The impression of intrusiveness, pandering or commitment must be avoided - the value of a gift is not the purchase price or the size, but the mental and personal commitment to the right choice."
Small give-aways, which may already be nibbled on the way home, are absolutely sufficient. They should be just a nice gesture and to remember the beautiful evening.
And if you make your favors yourself, that gives them the perfect personal touch.
