Öko-Test bought 25 shampoos for normal hair in the current issue (05/2013) and had them examined in the laboratory. We tell you which Ökotest-Shampoo is really recommendable.

Certified natural cosmetics: Overall "Very good"

Lavera apple shampoo

Does not burden the hair with any controversial or problematic substances. The organic apple extract provides a unique fragrance and freshness experience. Price per 250 ml: 4, 94 Euro.

Logona Nursing Shampoo Nettle

Top grade also for the ingredients of this mild hair care from the natural goods store. Plant extracts from the organic nettle give volume, shine and freshness. Price per 250 ml: 6, 75 Euro.

Ökotest shampoo from drugstore, retail and discount stores: Overall "good"

Dm / Balea Professional Deep Cleansing Shampoo

Good overall judgment, however, contains PEG derivatives (can make the skin more permeable to foreign substances). Price per 250 ml: 1, 45 Euro.

Aldi Süd / Kür Haircare Shampoo Aroma Care Sea Buckthorn Extract

Only grade 2, because PEG derivatives and Coumarin (can trigger allergies) are in it. Price per 250 ml: 0.38 Euro. Also good: Aldi Nord / Mildeen Hair Care Shampoo Mild & Gentle.

Lidl / Cien Haircare Day after Day Shampoo Fruit & Vitamin

Good and cheap. For this shampoo, there were deductions from the strict eco-testers, because the laboratory showed PEG derivatives. Price per 250 ml: 0.38 Euro.

Edeka / Elkos Hair Care Shampoo Fruit & Vitamin

Overall good, but contains PEG derivatives and geraniol (the perfume can cause allergies ). Price per 250 ml: 0.38 Euro.
