Which suitcase is right for me?
Which suitcase type you are, is quite different. It depends on the purpose and the way of traveling. The classic of Rimowa (see photo gallery) is well suited for business trips. However, if you're planning an adventure trip, a more sporty model, such as that from Eastpak, fits better.
Colorful patterned or plain?
Colorful suitcases have a significant advantage: they can be recognized very quickly on the luggage belt. However, light suitcases are dirt sensitive than darker colors. If your suitcase is to accompany you for a lifetime, it makes sense to choose a simpler, more timeless model than a pattern that you might have looked at faster.
How much money should you invest in a suitcase?
A good model, like an expensive handbag, can be a companion for life . As in the case of the Rimowa classic, it pays to spend around 400 euros. But also cheap cases are made to endure a lot. Much more important when buying a suitcase, however, are good roles, stable locks and functional roles. You do yourself a big favor, because the suitcase carries itself almost by itself.
Also important is the weight of the suitcase, because it is: The lighter, the more you can take. The specifications for the weight of a carry-on suitcase are different. For some low-cost airlines, the maximum weight is already six kilos. Especially here an ultralight suitcase is worthwhile.
Small or big?
That, too, depends on their destinations and purpose. If you travel a lot on business, it is advisable to buy a high-quality suitcase for your luggage. For most airlines the dimensions 55 x 40 x 20-25 cm are accepted as hand luggage .
If you like to travel longer, you should also invest in a functional larger suitcase . An entire luggage set is not necessary in most cases, as most airlines only allow a large and a hand baggage allowance.
