While in Copenhagen Crown Princess Mary of Denmark is looking forward to the birth of her twins, yesterday in Belgium a royal twins celebrated their fifth birthday.
Prince Nicolas and Princess Aymeric are the names of the two most unlucky players on the Belgian throne ranking list, 14 and 15 - after their father (the prince's son Prince Laurent) and their older sister Princess Louise (6).
Although Louise, Nicolas and Aymeric will probably never wear Belgium's crown, they are still popular among the people. The three seem very unconventionally educated. If, as is rare, they are taken on public occasions with their parents Claire and Laurent, they sometimes cause fun and laughter through their childish arrogance. They like the Belgians, who otherwise have little to laugh about, since they are already for some time already due to a government crisis on the verge of splitting their land into three parts. What then happens to the royal house, which is still considered an element uniting the nation, is not decided.
