Just before the dream wedding
A mother holds her children's hands for a while - but the hearts forever. They are pictures full of intimacy. Queen Silvia of Sweden (66) and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden (32) hugging each other, their faces close. Silvia whispers something to her daughter. Victoria shines, her eyes light up. And with the smiling queen you can feel the boundless love and immense pride in her daughter.
On June 19th, Victoria will perform in front of the wedding altar with her fiancé Daniel Westling, 36. A big, glamorous event that the whole world is talking about. And a very, very private, personal event that moves and touches Victoria and the Queen at heart.
There is so much to wish for, hope for and say what only a mother can say to her daughter. As in the February 2009 Princess engagement : "We have complete faith in you and your choice, Victoria. And I will do everything I can to help and support you both, "Silvia promised.
And now, for the big event, she will also have a lot to say to her daughter. Like all mothers who love their daughters. Especially if it's the first child getting married. The Hamburg-based psychologist Michael Thiel (49) knows what some women on the soul is: "It begins now a new phase of life. The protector becomes the counselor. The daughter now lives her own life. They also remember their own wedding, the expert said. On June 19, 1976 Silvia married the Swede king Carl Gustaf (64). In the ZDF documentary "Royal Wedding - A Prince for Victoria" she says: "I remember every detail (...). Strangely, I was not nervous either. I had my husband by my side, and that's it. "
The culmination of a love that at first was not easy. A bourgeois German hostess on the throne? That did not want to please every Swede. But soon Silvia enchanted all with her charm. Also on Victoria's bourgeois fitness trainer wrinkled in the past many a nose. But the princess was not deterred, and Daniel won pluses. It is not the origin that makes up a character: those who always stand behind their partner show true greatness. So the queen said, "Daniel will be an excellent husband to Victoria.
At the wedding, Silvia will be sitting in the church a few yards from her beloved daughter - her little girl, with whom she baked cake, to whom she read fairy tales, who was comforted when it fell down - and wished her all the happiness in the world.
