On Facebook, Colton's father John draws attention to the fate of his son.

After the kid had touched animals in a petting zoo at a village festival, he felt sick quickly. The infection caused by the pathogen (Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome) spread. The kidneys and heart are damaged. So heavy that little Colton died of brain damage.

This breaks the heart: Colton's mother Beth spent every minute by his bed rocking him when he died. "I've learned that the pain of losing one's own child is the worst pain in life."

Another boy, who was at the party, had infected himself with HUS by the contact with the animals in the petting zoo. He survived, but had to fight hard.

The responsible persons reject the guilt. There are signs everywhere, that it is important to wash your hands after visiting the petting zoo.

The bacteria E. coli can enter the human body through many transmission pathways. Fruits, untreated milk or water are the most common ways to infect with the pathogen. Gastrointestinal problems are the first signs. Many patients recover within ten days. In old people and children, the infection can be more problematic.

I apologize for the fact that the disease has just gone through but it was simply too painful ...
