Classic to fancy: make Easter eggs creative

Of course you can just color easter eggs, but decorate is a much more attractive alternative. Here are eight DIY ideas for the Ostedeko.

You need this for the Easter eggs with seal and gold leaf:

And that's how easy it is:

Blattgoldei

1. Color the blown eggs with egg colors according to the manufacturer's instructions .

2. Degrease the eggs (eg with alcohol) and brush with laying-on milk, omitting some places.

3. Apply the individual sheet metal arches, press down with a dry brush and apply. Make sure that the designated places remain free.

4. Approx. Let it dry for 24 hours. Then polish with cotton wool.

Siegelei

1. Melt sealing wax over a candle and let it drip onto the egg.

2. Press the seal into the soft wax.

Tip: Make the seal on a piece of plastic wrap according to the manufacturer's instructions, let it dry, cut it out and glue it onto the egg with craft glue. So it is reusable.

That's what you need for the Marmorei:

And that's how easy it is:

1. Add grape juice and vinegar in equal parts to a bowl and place the blown or hard-boiled eggs overnight so that they are completely covered with the liquid.

2. Remove the eggs from the liquid and rinse under the tap with a sponge.

3. Using a golden spray paint, paint the upper quarter of the ice and let it dry.

1. Drill a hole in the egg with the blower of the blower unit. Push the bellows of the blower into the hole and empty the egg by pumping. Rinse egg and let it dry.

1. Pluck the leaf from the stalk and place it on the egg. Fix the sheet with a silk stocking.

2. Tie down the silk stocking with a drawstring.

3. Prepare egg color according to the manufacturer's instructions and carefully place the egg on a spoon for 10 minutes in the coloud.

4. Take the egg from the cola, put it on the stocking on a skewer and hang it in a carafe to dry.

5. Cut stocking and remove carefully. Remove the sheet.

4. Sprinkle the egg with light yellow spray paint. 5. Carefully cut off the dyed thread (for holding) and replace with tape as in 3.

That's how it works:

It's that easy:

Cook the eggs hard and label with a waterproof black fine liner.

Tip: Paint a blackboard and arrange the eggs in it.

You need this for the pen:

  • washed out, blown eggs
  • skewer
  • Spray paint in black (hardware store)
  • Decopatch adhesive (eg from Brause, craft shop)
  • Feathers with pattern (craft shop)
  • match
  • Nature cord
  • Paper for the work surface
  • soft brush
  • scissors

And this is how it's done:

1. Put the blown egg on a skewer and prime over paper with the black spray paint. Let the paint dry.

2. Coat the egg with decopatine glue. Cut off the stem of the feathers. Cover the egg with the feathers. Carefully peel the deco patch adhesive over the springs again. Allow to dry well, the glue will be transparent.

3. Tie some natural cord around the hanger for a match section of approx. 1 cm in length and stick the wood in the hole on the upper side of the ice.

That's what you need for this Easter decoration:

Pinata egg

1. Approx. Cut 2 cm wide strips of crepe paper in two different colors. Cut at the long edge every 0.3 cm with a nail scissors.

2. Starting at the bottom of the ice, glue the cut paper strips around the egg with glue stick. Change color from round to round.

3. Tie a cord around a 1 cm match section and place the match in the hole on the top of the ice to form the suspension.

Black and white egg

1. Put eggs on a skewer, so that you can hold them better. For the black eggs: prime eggs over paper with spray paint in black. Let the paint dry. Draw a pattern with the white waterproof pen.

2. Pattern the white eggs with a black, waterproof fine-liner and use shashlik skewers as well.

3. Tie a drawstring around a 1 cm long match section and put the match into the hole on top of the ice.

That's what you need for the glitter eggs:

  • Eggs (Depot, set of 9, approx. 4 €)
  • rabbit sticker
  • Glitter Powder (via Ebay)
  • Decoupage adhesive (craft shop)
  • brush
  • skewers
  • Cups or small bowl

And that's how easy it is:

1. Stick the eggs in the desired position with rabbit stickers.

2. Fill the glitter powder in cups.

3. Coat the eggs completely with decoupage glue and place on the shish kebab.

4. Roll the sticky egg in the glitter powder and let it dry.

5. Remove bunny sticker again.
