Pour candles in sand

  • Sandkistensand (hardware store)
  • bowl
  • Small bucket (department store)
  • Empty 0.3 l beverage bottle
  • Wax lenses (craft shop)
  • Coloring lenses for wax (craft shop)
  • Candle wick (craft shop)
  • skewers
  • Spoon to stir

1. Mix the sand in a bowl with a little water to create a relatively firm mass of sand that would be used for castle construction.

2. Fill some sand into a small bucket so that the bottom is covered, then insert an empty beverage bottle in the middle and fix it with sand.

3. Carefully pull out the bottle, repair any holes in the sand.

4. Heat wax and dyeing lenses in a water bath.

5. In the meantime, put a wick in the sand and fix it with shashlik skewers.

6. Carefully pour in the melted wax.

7. Let it harden overnight, remove the candle from the sand mold, perhaps shorten the wick slightly.

Do not allow candles to burn unattended and avoid drafts. Keep the burning bowl clean. If the candle smokes, wick shorten something. Only burn the candle on an incombustible base or use a self-extinguishing candle.
