Brian Maixner works as a waiter and never smiled: he had bad teeth and no money to get them set up. But a stranger gave a generous tip.

Since Brian Maixner from Wichita in the US state of Kansas can think, he has problems with his teeth . Even as a child, his teeth did not develop properly and in school he was teased for his crooked and missing teeth. At some point he no longer dared to speak or laugh to other people. His teeth were embarrassing and he tried to keep his mouth shut.

Maixner had tooth decay and periodontal disease, his gums were bloody inflamed, his teeth were numbing or rotting, but when he visited the hospital casualty in pain, he only did the bare necessities. The remainder was to be taken over by a dentist, but the young waiter was not insured and his salary was insufficient for a dental restoration. Maixner found that way, he could not do anything about it anyway. To the strange looks, when he opened his mouth, he got used to it.

At Doo-Dah Diner, the single dad is popular and guests appreciate him for his friendly small talk. Why does he never laugh, regulars know too. The manager of the store says he is her best waiter.

One morning, Fred Boettcher, a lawyer from Ponca City, Oklahoma, visited the restaurant where Maixner works with his adult daughter: "I first saw him and I knew that man was something special incredible serenity and self-esteem , his teeth looked awful and were already painful to the viewer. " Boettcher himself used to have dental problems and wanted to help the young man. Not wanting to embarrass the waiter, he called the manager and owner of the restaurant to the table and asked if he could make a big $ 25, 000 tip for him to get a dental treatment. The manager was excited: "No one would have earned such a generous gift more than Brian."

When Brian Maixner learned of the generous gesture, he was overjoyed. With tears of gratitude, he served his noble donor: "I did not know this man and saw him for the first time, and yet he wanted to help me solve the problem of my life, and for that I will be infinitely grateful." Boettcher presented him not only the big tip, but also the address of his dentist.

Fred Boettcher's daughter, Meredih Boettcher Young, says: "My dad has done this a lot before, he has helped many people who did not have any money, but he has not yet taken on a dental treatment!"

Brian Maixner has been undergoing treatment for two months now. He has had several teeth pulled, holes filled, roots treated and dental implants used. Although the young father can only eat liquid food through the swelling, he is overjoyed: "When I look in the mirror, I still can not believe what my new teeth look like." This is a completely new feeling for me is a new life. " In a few months, the treatment will be completed and then Brian Maixner can finally laugh!
