The reaction of the parents to the invitation of their gay son shocked many Facebook users.
It quickly explains why Chris gives his parents a worried look at the beginning of the conversation that is featured in the video. Neither his mother nor his father show any joy in his decision to spend his life with his friend Grant. But on the contrary.
Asked if his parents would consider coming to the wedding, Chris's mother replies, "You know that I have a very strong belief in that, so that's not an option for us." The father shares the opinion, but remains silent most of the time.
It gets even worse when the mother says, "We love you, but we do not want to be part of it, we want you to respect that, we know it's likely to hurt you, but if you're honest, you would must count. "

Chris's reaction is then more than understandable: "You can choose me completely or not at all."
