The boy was inspired by his own mother, who likes to sit at her home sewing machine and make small purses made of cloth. "I think the idea came after everything we had to endure, and the desire for other people to get better, " said Mother Stephanie to the Huffington Post.
The manufactured garments give Xavier and his mother to the Salvation Army, as well as to a kindergarten in the women's shelter.
