Moving interview about the early death of her mother Constanze

Anyone who has ever seen her on screen will soon forget her: Julie Engelbrecht (28) is beautiful, she plays so impressively - and she sees her deceased mother, actress Constanze Engelbrecht († 45, "The Shadow Man"), so unbelievably similar.

She will soon be seen in The Wanderhound Legacy, the third part of the Middle Ages epic. We talked to her about the role - and her memories of her beloved mother .

As "Hulda von Hettenheim" you are totally scheming in the movie - is it more fun to play the bad guys?

Julie Engelbrecht: I enjoyed it a lot - because it was the first time that I was allowed to play such an intriguing woman.

You'll probably be envied for your great long hair, right?

Julie Engelbrecht: I'm often referred to them - and they have a big advantage: I save a lot of time in the mask, because I have no hair pieces and wigs to be infected.

Have you ever measured them?

Julie Engelbrecht: Not me, but my hairdresser says they are about a meter long ...

Is it true that you have not cut her since the death of her mother?

Julie Engelbrecht: No, it's just that she used to always say, "You have such beautiful hair, do not let it cut off." But I'll shorten it regularly, or they'll hang on the floor long ago.

Your mother died 12 years ago - has the sadness changed over time?

Julie Engelbrecht: Interesting that this question is asked again and again. All I can say is this: I have my own life, a great job, I am happy - and I will miss my mother forever.

Does it please you when it says, "Just the mom!"?

Julie Engelbrecht: Just like her - that's not it ... But if someone tells me that I'm like her, then I'm glad. If the memory of her still exists, I think that's fine.

Did the early loss change you?

Julie Engelbrecht: There is so much in life that changes you - and of course that was part of it. It's like this: I think I learned to value life even more.

Also, you have inherited your beauty - some have the prejudice "beautiful, but stupid ..."?

Julie Engelbrecht: There may be people who think you are only concerned with your appearance. Other things are much more important to me, such as a loving relationship with each other. We all are getting older. Beautiful appearance does not last forever. The sooner you get used to it, the better!
