Funky tactics: A shoplifter swallowed his prey, an MP3 player and a charging cable, to make evidence disappear.

That's an innovative way of getting evidence to disappear: in Frankfurt, a thief (36) was seen by a shopkeeper in an electronics shop stealing a cell phone, an MP3 player, and a USB charging cable. The detective took the drunken thief (1 per thousand) to his office to file a report and turned around for a moment - the thief used the time to quickly swallow the MP3 player and charging cable.
The thief was taken away by the police and came to a clinic. The Frankfurt police announced in a humorous post on Facebook: "And it was gone (...) Why the mobile phone was spared, is not yet known."
